COVID-19 & SARS-CoV-2 Information:

Update 5: Jul 8, 2020

2N2222A transistors have been available in the 100 pack for some time, but at a higher price point.

Freight capacity is beginning to improve as the number of international flights increases to pre-pandemic levels.

Update 4: Apr 21, 2020

Customers should expect imminent shortages and increasing prices on active components in addition to the existing shortages on passive components. Global freight capacity remains at critical lows and demand is beginning to increase. This has put an unprecedented strain on global logistics networks resulting in increased freight costs and increased travel times. Local alternative parts may exist, but will also result in higher end prices or lower quality.

Effective immediately and until further notice all transistors will have a minimum order quantity of 20. Additionally, 2N2222A transistors will no longer be available in the 100 pack quantity except by special request. These changes will allow me to maintain current prices even as costs rise.

Some TO-220 components may not be replenished for a significant period of time.

If your business relies on components I sell, I urge you to contact me as soon as possible.

Update 3:

Two cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed locally. At this time, the postal service continues to operate normally and order fulfillment will continue.

Update 2:

On March 1, 2020 New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo and other public health officials announced the first confirmed case of COVID-19 (the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus) in New York State. The patient was a traveller returning from Iran and is currently isolated in her home. Based on similar situations in Washington State and San Francisco, it is likely community transmission will soon occur in the greater New York City area.

Pittsford is a long way from New York City and shipments will continue as normal for the time being. As it is common for some local businesses to send employees to NYC offices for intra-day meetings, the situation can change rapidly. I will continue making updates as the situation changes.

Update 1:

Current stocks of passive components (such as capacitors and potentiometers) are beginning to run low or become exhausted. These components are sourced exclusively from China. The extended spring festival, lockdowns and movement restrictions in key cities and provinces, and a significant retraction in air cargo capacity have made these components difficult to replace. I do maintain a small reserve to ensure I do not oversell any particular item. If you are in need of these components, please contact me directly. I will continue posting updates as this situation changes.
